One of the first varieties bred to add some yellow to the peony garden. Blooming in the early midseason, the anemone-form flowers appear pink in bud, but as they open the guard petals turn creamy white. At the center a large tuft of petaloids open a light lemon-yellow color. A very floriforous, moderately fragrant peony of medium height and neat contrasting dark green foliage. Needs no staking. (Dessert 1913)
