The medium pink of the guard petals on this Japanese form peony are set off by a yellow tuft of staminoides at the center of the bloom where that core is sprinkled with pink-to-red accents. These vigorous growing plants have clean, light green foliage on stems of 26 to 28 inches in height. The flowers are mildly fragrant and make excellent cut flowers. (Sass 1949)
